The British singer has a history of criticizing influential people and now he's saying that Prince William and Kate have been 'arrogant' in the way they've handled Jacintha Saldanha's suicide.
Steven Patrick Morrissey has no problem confronting Prince William and Kate Middleton. The British singer spoke to New Zealand's 3News about the recent tragedy in which Jacintha Saldanha, a nurse working at King Edward VII hospital, transferred a prank call to Kate's room. Now Morrissey is saying that it's not only the fault of the deejays that made the call, that the Royals are to blame as well.
'Even with the recent story about the nurse killing herself in King Edward Hospital, there's no blame placed on Kate Middleton, who was in the hospital as far as I could see for absolutely no reason,' he said. 'She feels no shame about the death of this woman, she's saying nothing about the death of this poor woman. The arrogance of the British royals is staggering, absolutely staggering. And why it's allowed to be I really don't know.'
We told you that Jacintha did not tell her family about the prank call but that she did leave a suicide note. Her family wants more answers and their lawyer has released a statement:
'What the family need are the full facts,' Labor MP Keith Vaz, the man representing the family said. 'What the chairman of the hospital said to me was that there are inquiries going on in the hospital ' that is not sufficient for the family. There are unexplained circumstances. The family want to know everything. All the facts, fully and clearly. The hospital needs to be more proactive, a full inquiry is needed and the family need to be included in that.'
Morrissey went on to slam Kate for her morning sickness and he said that he believes the Palace and Clarence House gave Jacintha a hard time for patching the call through.
'Does she have a health condition'? What is the health condition?' he said. 'I mean morning sickness already? So much hoo haw and then suddenly as bright as a button as soon as this poor woman dies she's out of hospital? It doesn't ring true. And I'm sure the Palace and Clarence House put maximum pressure on this poor receptionist and nurse, and of course that's kept away from the press. I'm sure the British press hounded this poor woman to her death, that's kept away. And by this time next week she'll be forgotten. And that's how the British royals work.'
