Taylor Swift may have written 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' about ex-boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal, but she doesn't feel that way about Conor Kennedy! A Kennedy family source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that 'It's more of a break than a breakup.'
Taylor, 22, has been dating 18-year-old Conor for several months, but they broke up earlier this week due to Taylor's busy schedule as she promotes Red. A Kennedy family source said, 'The distance really got to Taylor, and she wanted to slow things down before ruining any potential future they have together.'
Despite the split, Taylor has maintained a strong bond with the Kennedys.
'She is still good with the family and Conor,' our source explains. And it seems that the Kennedy family is also fond of Taylor, as they are still planning to honor her at their high profile December family gala! The event will be hosted by Conor's grandmother, Ethel, who is said to be particularly fond of Taylor.
