Do you live with your boyfriend? If you do, you are more likely to have a baby!

The rate of cohabiting couples having babies has increased from 12 percent in 2002 to 22 percent from 2006 to 2010, according to a new study by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention

The reason for the increase of unmarried women having babies is due to the fact that they are living with their significant other, says Gladys Martinez, the lead author of the CDC study.

'More people are cohabiting,' she tells Reuters. 'It's more likely that they are going to have children when in cohabiting unions.'

Kids born into family's with unmarried parents tend to suffer more instability and grow up with less opportunities, the CDC reports.

The research shows that children born to a woman living with her partner is more likely to prosper than if they were born to a single mom.

Many celebs in Hollywood have not walked down the aisle, but are having babies. Long-time couple Kourtney Kardashian, 32, and Scott Disick, 28, who are not married have two-year-old Mason Disick together and another baby on the way.

The highest percentage of cohabiting unions are in Hispanics at 35 percent, then in Blacks at 24 percent, followed by Whites at 19 percent and Asians at 8 percent.

The study surveyed over 22,000 men and women.
