Well, kids, it finally happened. After 38 episodes of platonic room-mating, two stars of FOX's New Girl locked lips on the show's Jan. 29 episode ' and it was actually pretty hot. So which of the eligible bachelors got to plant one on Jess (Zooey Deschanel)? Drumroll please'
Nick (Jake Johnson)!
Actually, they kissed twice, but only one of them had real passion behind it. During a game of 'True American,' Nick and Jess ended up behind a curtain and engaged in a little kiss on the cheek. Jess tried to get a real kiss out of him ' in the spirit of the game, of course ' by telling him, 'Let's suck it up and French a little,' but something just didn't feel right.
Jess' boyfriend Sam (David Walton) even encouraged Nick to kiss his girlfriend ' oh, Sam, you're so oblivious ' once again, in the spirit of the game.
And the more Jess pushed Nick to do it, the more awkward the situation became. When she finally told him she wanted to 'get this over with,' he totally bugged out at her, saying, 'No, not like this!'

The big moment finally came at the end of the episode, when Jess and Nick said goodnight to each other. As Jess started to walk away, Nick grabbed her arm and pulled her in for a crazy-hot, 13-second kiss. He even gave her an extra little kiss at the end which, to me, meant more than the big, exaggerated one.
Oh boy, I need a towel.
