Tyasia Jackson, 13, is being charged with allegedly killing her half-sister, Sasha Lamaya Ray, 2, and disposing of her body at their home in Decatur, Georgia. The teen, who was also looking after her other siblings at the time, called the baby's biological father to confess to the murder on November 19.
The teen reportedly stabbed her two-year old half-sister in the chest seven times before throwing her off the home's balcony. The toddler's body was found in the backyard of the family's home near Atlanta.
The toddler's biological father, Shelton Ray, told CBS News that Tyasia called him at 11pm on the night of the murder to confess. He revealed that she was caught with a boy hiding in a closet in the house and took her anger out on her sister. He believes that his daughter has gone to heaven now.
'If I could say anything to [Tyasia], all I would say is what you did was wrong, and there are going to be some consequences you have to face,' Ray said. 'We are going to help you along the way while you face those consequences. But you have to change your attitude. As I've always told you, you have to change your attitude.'
