The reality TV mom and her boyfriend of a year finally made it official when he popped the question on Sept. 1! Congrats to the happy couple!
Kailyn Lowry will soon have a stepfather for her two-year-old son Issac. The Teen Mom 2 star is engaged to her boyfriend of a year, Jose 'Javi' Marroquin!
Javi sent his soon-to-be-wife on a romantic scavenger hunt on Sept. 1, which took her to her hometown and favorite childhood spot, Lake Wallenpaupack. When Kailyn arrived, she saw her little boy in a vest and carrying flowers, and her man down on one knee!
The 20-year-old mom said yes ' she was ready to put her troubled past relationships, especially with her baby daddy Jo Rivera, behind and start fresh with Javi.
The couple has been dating for about a year, ever since Javi spotted his now-fiance at her retail job in in Hawley, Pa.
'He wouldn't give up until she went out with him,' a source told OK! Magazine. 'But at first she thought he was really young, like 15, and crazy to be asking her out. But he's 19!'
The insider said that Javi is a great match for Kailyn, and will be a supportive partner throughout their marriage.
'Javi has a great heart,' the insider said. 'He's kind and thoughtful and is also very patient with Kailyn and Issac. His patience is one of the many traits that she really loves about him.'
Issac also loves Javi, and is excited for his new stepdad. 'Javi and Issac adore each other,' the source added. 'They get along great and Kailyn knows he will be a great stepadad to her son and never treat him as anything but his own.'
