The July 9 episode of 'The Real Housewives of New York City' put the battle between Ramona Singer and Heather Thomson on the back burner ' for the time being ' and battle lines were drawn between The Princess and The Countess! Read on for all the details!
It seems as though the producers of RHONY couldn't find an interesting angle to take on the Ramona Singer/Heather Thomson feud this week, but it could be for the mere fact that both ladies were separated by an ocean!
Heather and the rest of the girls: LuAnn de Lesseps, Sonja Morgan and Carole Radziwill all enjoyed time away from the Big Apple as they accompanied Heather on a business trip to promote her shape wear brand 'Yummie Tummie' in London!
While the Hyde Park penthouse provided for the girls in London was comfortable, the relationship between LuAnn and Carole seems anything but. LuAnn, a 'one upper' as Carole would describe her, seems to have issues with the newbie on the block. Could there a bit of jealousy there? I think so!
While out to a 'Yummie Tummie' business dinner, Heather demands everyone get up and say why they love her brand (egotistical much?) ' requesting participation from LuAnn, Sonja, and Carole as well.
While Carole finds the whole situation 'awkward,' LuAnn takes the opportunity to show her up and display how someone with 'good manners' acts ' standing up and giving a grand lecture on the awesomeness of 'Yummie Tummie,' solidifying her title as the 'one upper.'
While no real drama ensued beyond this uncomfortable dinner, the tension between Carole and LuAnn is at a boiling point and next week promises a real confrontation between The Princess and The Countess.
On the NYC front, Ramona spends quality time with Aviva Drescher, shopping for shoes while Ramona basks in the oddity of Aviva's prosthetic leg. Could this have been anymore awkward? Poor Aviva! Aviva said it best when she confessed, 'You'd think I was talking to a 6-year-old.' (My thoughts exactly.)
While this week's episode was a bit tame, the concluding chapter of their London vacation is poised to provide a satisfying amount of drama. But am I alone in thinking that this season is rather boring? I vote to bring Bethenny Frankel back! What do you think?
The Real Housewives of New York City airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
